SLSU RI Office conducts Workshop on the Submission of Research Papers for Scholarly Publication
The Research and Innovation Office recently held an engaging “Workshop on the Submission of Research Papers for Scholarly Publication” on October 23, 2024, at the Plenary Hall, Southern Leyte State University Main Campus. The event aimed to enhance faculty skills in successfully publishing their research. Dr. Marie Khul Langub, Director of Research and Innovation, initiate the workshop with a welcome address and outline the purpose of the activity.
The workshop was graced by University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte, NRCP-RD Leader Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, RD Leader Assistant Mr. Jerico Ogaya, and VPRIES, Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, all of whom offered words of support and encouragement to the participants. The session featured practical, hands-on exercises to help participants improve their submission processes for scholarly publications.
This initiative strongly aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, as it promotes research excellence and innovation. By empowering faculty to publish and share their research, the workshop also contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
The event inspired faculty members to elevate the quality of their research and increase its global impact, supporting academic growth and the broader dissemination of knowledge.
