SLSU UISA conducts PMIS training workshop
On July 12, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Southern Leyte State University spearheaded by the University Information System and Analytics office conducted a training/workshop on the Procurement Management Information System (PMIS). It was held at the GIS laboratory of the Faculty of Computer Studies and Information Technology. This session was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the system, with interactive segments allowing for practical application and hands-on experience. In the context of digitalization and paperless transactions, it aimed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the procurement process within the organization. This system provides a structured approach for managing all procurement activities, reducing manual errors, ensuring compliance, and enabling faster decision-making. By implementing Procurement Management Information System (PMIS), its goal is to streamline procurement operations and ensure all departments adhere to standardized procedures.
The training was attended from various departments and offices within the campus. Having representation from these core areas was essential to ensure all relevant teams could efficiently collaborate and fully understand how PMIS integrates into their workflows.
The successful conduct of the Procurement Management Information System (PMIS) training marks a significant step towards a more organized and transparent procurement process. By equipping attendees with the right skills and knowledge, the transition to the new system will lead to greater efficiency and more effective collaboration across the university’s departments/offices.
