RIES conducts Seminar on IP Awareness, Prior Art Search, and Presentation Strategies: Fostering Innovation and Education in Southern Leyte

In a significant stride towards fostering intellectual property (IP) awareness and technological innovation, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) recently organized a seminar entitled "IP Awareness, Prior Art Search, and Presentation of Existing Products and Technologies" for the Department of Education Southern Leyte Division. The event was successfully held last November 18, 2023.

It featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Angel T. Sabusap, Ms. Rio Katrina C. Avila, Engr Jonelle Tablada, and Engr Khorina O. Aguilar, who are accomplished patent drafters of the university. Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, the Vice President for Research Innovation and Extension Services of SLSU, shared her expertise during the seminar.

The seminar aimed to enlighten participants on intellectual property, prior art searches, and effective presentation strategies, providing valuable insights from seasoned professionals. Dr. Solana, the Schools Division Superintendent of Southern Leyte, attended, highlighting the collaboration's significance in advancing education and innovation in the region.
