UHRMDO conducts orientation of ROSS under NBC 589
Southern Leyte State University, through the University Human Resource Management and Development Office (UHRMDO), organized an orientation session on the Revised Organization and Staffing Standards (ROSS) in accordance with the guidelines outlined in National Budget Circular (NBC) No. 589 on Wednesday, May 10. 2023.
The event aimed to ensure a smooth transition and implementation of the new standards across the university.
Highlighting the importance of the orientation, Ms. Venus M. Radores, HRMO II, provided a comprehensive overview of the activity and its rationale.
She emphasized the need for all administrative staff to understand the revised standards to enhance organizational efficiency and promote transparency.
Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, also discussed the background and significance of NBC 589.
She shed light on the context behind the revision of the organization and staffing standards, stressing the need to align Southern Leyte State U's practices with national guidelines for budget allocation and resource management.
Meanwhile, Ms. Hazelle V. Asaldo, UHRMDO Director, delivered a detailed presentation on the administrative positions stipulated in the ROSS.
