Southern Leyte State University achieves recommendation for ISO 9001:2015 Recertification
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) has successfully received recommendation from SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. for its recertification to ISO 9001:2015, reaffirming its commitment to providing high-quality education and services.
The university underwent a rigorous three-day audit process from September 25-27, 2024, covering four (4) of its campuses: Sogod Main Campus, San Juan Campus, Tomas Oppus Campus, and Bontoc Campus.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc., and their audit team led by Mr. Billy Sadangsal, along with Mark Allan Balbarino, Marisse Cruz, and Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel. Their expertise and professionalism were instrumental in the successful completion of the audit process.
The university president, Dr. Jude A. Duarte, led the institution in receiving this prestigious recognition, supported by key university officials: Dr. Constantino G. Medilo, Jr. (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy. (Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension Services), Dr. Annabelle M. Hufalar (Vice President for Student Auxiliary Service), and Dr. Dewoowoogen P. Baclayon (Vice President for Administration and Finance).
Joining the celebration were Directors, Faculty Deans, Administrative Heads, and Heads of the audited offices. Campus Directors and Heads of audited offices from external campuses also participated virtually. The entire SLSU community shares in this moment of pride as the university solidifies its commitment to continuous improvement and its pursuit of global standards of excellence.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification acknowledges the university's proficient quality management system and its capacity to consistently fulfill the expectations of customers and stakeholders.
Through this recertification, SLSU solidifies its status as a leading institution within the region, illustrating its dedication to delivering high-quality education and fostering the development of both its students and the surrounding community.
