Southern Leyte State University Completes Level III & IV AACCUP Accreditation Survey

In a recent three-day accreditation survey visit from October 9-11, 2024, Southern Leyte State University faced the challenge of demonstrating its adherence to AACCUP Levels III and IV standards for six undergraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Hospitality Management, and Criminology. The rigorous evaluation process scrutinized the university's commitment to academic excellence and its ability to meet the highest standards of higher education.

The AACCUP accreditation team, led by Engr. Nestor C. Competente from Rizal Technological University, commended the university for its innovative approach to program websites which served as document repository. The tailored websites, designed to meet the specific needs of each program, were praised for their organization and user-friendliness. This strategic initiative not only enhances accessibility but also reflects the university's commitment to providing a seamless experience for students, faculty, and stakeholders.

Dr. Competente also praised Southern Leyte State U for the exceptional cooperation and dedication displayed by faculty members and task force members during the accreditation process.
