SLSU - MCC brings Project AMUMA to Brgy. Sto. Niño, Macrohon
Southern Leyte State University– Maasin City Campus started its week-long series of seminars for the conduct of the extension project AMUMA (Advancing Monetary Understanding and Management) on October 21, 2024. This training aimed to enhance financial literacy among the locals of Brgy. Sto.Niño, Macrohon, Southern Leyte.
Mrs. Junelen Inting, a very credible resource person, discussed financial literacy for farmers and fisher-folks. She was facilitated by a reliable faculty member of SlSU-MCC Mrs. Salvacion Teng along with the students namely Ms. Claraise Soriano and Mr. Mark Mendoza. The abovementioned SLSU-MCC faculty and students were assisted by the LGU- Macrohon representatives Mr. Harvey Galano and Mr. John Albert Kuizon.
This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). With the implementation of project AMUMA, Southern Leyte State University- Maasin City Campus remains determined in contributing to the beneficiaries’ life-long financial literacy.
