SLSU TO celebrates 124th PCSA
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU)- Tomas Oppus Campus celebrated the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on October 9, 2024, with team-building activities that fostered camaraderie and teamwork among its faculty and staff.
The event, held at the SLSU-TO Covered Court, embraced the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” and saw participants divided into four teams—Yellow, Blue, White, and Pink—competing in games designed to enhance cooperation, agility, and problem-solving skills.
The day kicked off with the Animal Sound Challenge, where blindfolded team members had to locate one another by identifying their team’s assigned sound.The Yellow Team quickly gathered their members and claimed first place, with Blue, Pink, and White finishing second, third, and fourth, respectively. The Chair Relay followed a race requiring teams to transport a chair from one point to another. The Pink Team emerged victorious, with the Yellow, Blue, and White teams placing second, third, and fourth. In the Charades round, teams had to guess words through pantomime, with the White Team excelling and taking first place, followed by Blue, Pink, and Yellow. The final game, the Build Me Up Cup Challenge, required teams to construct a triangle using yarn, rubber bands, and Styrofoam. The Blue Team's teamwork secured first place, followed by Pink, Yellow, and White. By the end of the event, the Blue and Pink Teams tied for first place overall, while the Yellow Team placed second, and the White Team took third.
The day highlighted the unity and shared dedication of SLSU’s faculty and staff as they continue to hone their skills as agile, future-ready public servants.
