Brgy. Lugsongan Launches Day 1 of Financial Literacy Training for First Batch
On November 7, 2024, Brgy. Lugsongan in Limasawa, Southern Leyte, successfully conducted the first batch of its Financial Literacy Training, with the goal of empowering residents to make informed financial decisions. The session was led by resource speaker Rose Mae Ugat, whose expertise provided participants with practical insights into financial management. Facilitators Jericho L. Bahinting and Bethany I. Muñez supported the program, guiding attendees through interactive discussions and activities.
Participants were introduced to key financial principles such as budgeting, saving, and responsible spending. Rose Mae Ugat emphasized the importance of financial literacy in achieving both personal and community growth, encouraging participants to apply these skills in their daily lives. Through engaging activities and real-life examples, participants gained a clearer understanding of how to manage their finances effectively.
The training fostered an enthusiastic and collaborative environment, allowing community members to share their own financial experiences and challenges.
