SLSU-TO Honors Outstanding Employees on 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary
Southern Leyte State University - Tomas Oppus (SLSU-TO) honored the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on October 9, 2024, by recognizing its exceptional employees through the Gandilan Awards.
The Gandilan Awards aim to acknowledge and reward SLSU-TO employees for their outstanding performances and contributions to the university's growth and development. The awards are modeled after the Civil Service Commission's Praise program, which encourages and recognizes employees for their achievements and exemplary services.
In his inspirational message, Dr. Jude A. Duarte, University President, emphasized his confidence in the university's future, stating, "I'm confident that the sustainable unwavering commitment to each of the members of this university, SLSU-TO, will have a bright and successful future filled with continued growth, relations, and success."
Several employees were honored during the ceremony for their exemplary work in various categories.
The Pearly White Award, which recognizes employees for their positive attitude and service, was given to Ms. Abegail L. Bano, Ms. Azel Rose M. Cabel, Ms. Leslie S. Capilitan, and Ms. Susana B. Maulas.
The Face Lifter Award, recognizing employees for their inspiring leadership and support, was awarded to Ms. Cyndie N. Abesada, Mr. Joven J. Beloy, and Mr. Joseph Anthony M. Romero.
Ms. Ma. Jovillea T. Palanca received the Cliff Jumper Award for her excellence, innovation, and willingness to take risks. Dr. Pritzel Lee G. Capili, was honored with the Mountain Mover Award for his exceptional leadership and performance. Dr. Sybill Krizzia G. Ledesma was recognized with an Achievement Award for her contributions.
Additionally, several employees were awarded for their long years of dedicated service to the university.
Dr. Marvin S. Daguplo was honored for 15 years of service, while Dr. Hermabeth O. Bendulo and Dr. Marilou L. Masing were recognized for 25 years. Dr. Violeta B. Felisilda, Mrs. Pinky E. Narbonita, Dr. Analiza M. Nares, and Dr. Lilibeth S. Tindugan were honored for their 30 years of service to SLSU.
During the ceremony, Dr. Clemente H. Cobilla, Campus Director of SLSU-TO, commended the awardees, stating, "Each awardee has demonstrated exceptional talents and commitment, making a significant impact in their respective offices and the entire SLSU-TO community."
