Southern Leyte State U and UPLB partners for Micro-credentials Training and Workshop

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), in partnership with the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), gathered all academic leaders of the university for a training and workshop on Micro-credentials and Instructional Materials Development and Packaging last October 17-18, 2024.

The workshop featured a series of interactive sessions, panel discussions, and hands-on activities focusing on the initiative to offer micro-credential courses in SLSU. Program owners had the opportunity to engage in collaborative activities, where they developed sample instructional materials and micro-credential proposals tailored to their respective fields.

As the demand for skilled professionals continues to rise, the development of effective micro-credential courses remains a critical focus, especially for SLSU as it aims to be the leading institution for driving innovation and opportunities for lifelong learning.
