UNESCO accredits SLSU-CTE’s English Circle

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) accredited the English Circle, a student club at Southern Leyte State University- College of Teacher Education (SLSU-CTE) during the International Assembly of Youth for UNESCO at the Icon Hotel, Quezon City on September 6-8, 2018.

Martin Urdaneta, club president, and Ms. Sybill Krizzia Ledesma, club adviser, received the award of accreditation after satisfactorily meeting the standards and fulfilling all the requirements for membership to the National Association of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines.

The event is attended by delegates from Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Germany, Thailand, and Philippines. Philippine delegates are composed of young leaders and educators representing UNESCO accredited, non-accredited, and newly accredited clubs.
