Southern Leyte State U is Top 1 criminology school in EV; registers a new batch of licensed criminologists
Southern Leyte State University has once again proven its worth as one of the best criminology schools in Eastern Visayas Region as it produces a new batch of licensed criminologists.
Fifty-four (54) examinees passed the December 2022 Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE). Among all the criminology schools in the region, Southern Leyte State U emerged as the top-performing school in Eastern Visayas.
With the University's recent performance, the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) places Southern Leyte U in No.1 spot after it garners a passing percentage of 77.14.
Joining Southern Leyte State U are Eastern Samar State University and Northwest Samar State University with 50 or more examinees with above national passing percentage.
Results from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) shows that Southern Leyte State U obtained an impressive institutional passing percentage of 87.10 for the first-time takers against the national passing rate of 33.14%.
PRC also announced that 11,098 out of 33,489 passed the CLE given by the Board of Criminology last December 2022 in 23 testing centers all over the Philippines.

Narcilisa Talipnao from the University of Baguio landed in the top spot in this board examination obtaining a 91.6% passing rate. Moreover, Tarlac State University is the top-performing school garnering passing percentage of 100.
This recent achievement of the College of Criminal Justice in Southern Leyte State U makes them the undisputed best criminology school in the region with a consistent highest passing percentage.
