SLSU, BISU advance research partnership through coordination meeting
On April 15, 2026, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) and Bohol Island State University (BISU) moved forward with the implementation of their partnership through a coordination meeting involving Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Publication and Extension; Engr. Khorina O. Aguilar, Director of Research and Innovation; Dr. Maria Magdalena Bernales, Research Development and Extension Director of BISU; and Dr. Ma. Solita J. Virtudazo of BISU. The meeting marked another significant step in strengthening the collaboration between the two institutions and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing research productivity and academic excellence.

One of the key matters discussed during the meeting was the weekly polishing of research papers, which will continue until May in preparation for submission for publication. Through this initiative, both institutions aim to further improve the quality, clarity, and readiness of the manuscripts, while also promoting a culture of mentorship, collaboration, and scholarly engagement among faculty researchers.
