SLSU - MCC Conducts Extension Monitoring at Pajo River, Macrohon, SL

On June 28, 2024, Southern Leyte State University - Maasin City Campus conducted a comprehensive extension monitoring activity at Pajo River, located in Brgy. Mabini, Macrohon, Southern Leyte. The purpose of this initiative was to assess the ongoing impact and effectiveness of the university's extension projects in the area.
The event saw the attendance of key university personnel, including Dr. Magdaleno T. Samaco, Jr., Head of the Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (RIES) Office; Dr. Jonathan J. Palco, Research Coordinator; Ms. Juvenal F. Sumaya, Extension Coordinator; and Ms. Lelie Lou Bacalla, a representative from the Extension, Linkages, and International Affairs.
The monitoring process was meticulously conducted through the administration of printed questionnaires and face-to-face interviews with the barangay officials and other project beneficiaries. Among those interviewed was the Barangay Captain, Honorable Chris Marlou Maturan, whose insights were invaluable in understanding the local community's reception and the tangible benefits derived from the extension projects.
This activity underscores Southern Leyte State University's commitment to fostering strong community ties and ensuring that its extension initiatives are aligned with the needs and aspirations of the local populace. By engaging directly with community leaders and beneficiaries, the university aims to continuously improve its programs and maximize their positive impact.
