SLSU MCC produces 38 newly registered social workers
The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) of Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus (SLSU-MCC) continues to prove its foothold as the home of competent social workers in the province as it produced 38 newly registered social workers who passed the Social Worker Licensure Examination as Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results on February 17, 2021. There were 68 of them who took the exam.
Out of 68, 61 were first-time takers while the other 7 are repeaters. The passing rate for the first takers from SLSU-MCC is 62.3% while the national passing rate is 55.88%.
It was a 3-day examination which they took at Leyte National High School in Tacloban City.
PRC announced that 495 out of 1,473 passed the Social Worker Licensure Examination given by the Board for Social Workers in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
