SLSU-TO BSBA Program Welcomes Work Immersion Students for a Campus Tour

A group of eight work immersion ABM (Accounting, Business, and Management) students from Saint Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) and Don Agustin F. Escano National High School (DAFENHS) were welcomed by the SLSU-TO BSBA Department for a campus tour on February 17, 2025. The tour was part of an initiative led by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tomas Oppus, spearheaded by Sir Edmar Tambis, OJT Coordinator of LGU TO, to expose students pursuing the ABM strand to educational institutions offering business administration programs.
The eight students, currently assigned to the LGU-Tomas Oppus, were given the opportunity to visit SLSU-Tomas Oppus to enhance their understanding of both the academic and practical aspects of business administration. Before the tour, they were ushered into the conference room for a short briefing. During this session, they introduced themselves, outlined the purpose of their visit, and met with campus officials and BSBA faculty members. The tour allowed them to visit the accounting or business-related offices, explore the campus facilities, meet with faculty members, and gain valuable insights into the BSBA program and various school activities. Most importantly, the students were informed about the admission process and encouraged to consider enrolling at the campus.
The tour was not only informative but also an inspiring experience for the immersion students, who gained understanding of the opportunities available to them in the field of business. The collaboration between the LGU-Tomas Oppus and educational institutions like SLSU-Tomas Oppus emphasizes the importance of industry-academic partnerships in shaping the future of students and fostering growth in the ABM sector. This activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting quality education and fostering sustainable economic growth.
