SLSU-TO BSBA Month Celebration Kicks Off with Inspirational Talks and Team-Building Activities

The much-anticipated SLSU-TO BSBA Month Celebration kicked off with a dynamic and inspiring Day 1 on February 12, 2025, at the SLSU-TO Covered Court. With the theme "YES to Entrepreneurial Success: Soaring Beyond Borders," the celebration gathered business leaders/owners, faculty, and students for a day filled with motivation, learning, and camaraderie.
Dr. Candy Elizabeth G. Salapi, the BSBA Program Head, introduced the celebration's distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Ingrid Uy, the ELIA Director. Dr. Uy delivered an inspirational message, urging students to dream big and push the boundaries of their entrepreneurial aspirations. Her words fueled the enthusiasm of the attendees, inspiring them to embrace challenges and opportunities in their future endeavors. After the opening program, there was an opening of business-related booths. Following this, the event transitioned into the YES Talks: An Entrepreneurial Forum, hosted by Engelbert R. Abordo. This session featured three distinguished guest speakers, each sharing their personal entrepreneurial journeys and the lessons they've learned along the way.
Ma'am Giecel A. Vicera, owner of Gie's Collection, shared her inspiring story of perseverance in building her business from the ground up. Sir Martin H. Urdaneta, owner of Martin Pierre Atelier, captivated the audience with his experience navigating the fashion industry and overcoming obstacles. Lastly, Ms. Eunice Jane Abunda, owner of Kape ni Maria, discussed her journey in the coffee business, highlighting the importance of resilience and passion. Each speaker left a profound impact on the students, emphasizing the value of hard work, resilience, and creativity in the world of entrepreneurship. The afternoon continued with an engaging series of team-building activities and exciting games that fostered teamwork and collaboration among participants. Laughter and energy filled the air as students worked together, strengthening their bonds within the BSBA community.
