SLSU Unified, Proactive and Progressive Response Extension Support Services (SUPPRESS) COVID-19 Initiatives
What will the outputs to contribute to your community, partners?
Outcome 1: Provision of financial assistance and psycho-social counselling to seriously affected students. This financial support is very important cover food allowance, provision of cell phone loads, rental of boarding houses and other basic needs in order to keep them afloat during this difficult time.
Outcome 2: Provision and implementation of enhanced institutional and community preventive measures against CoViD-19. Additional thermal scanners are very important to check the occurrence of fever and/or flu of individuals passing through the gates. Provision of first aid and/or emergency kits to include Vit.C are equally important in order to address emergency situations and help boost the immunity of individuals against CoViD-19. Other enhanced preventive measures in the community especially those places/establishments which are commonly populated such as public (wet) markets, hospitals, checkpoints and the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) are extremely important to augment protective and responsive measures where safety of everyone is of utmost priority.
Outcome 3: Production and distribution of SUPPRESS CoViD-19 PPEs and IEC Materials and other Info Cast System. Reduce shortages of facemasks, face shields, disinfectant, and liquid soap. Strengthening correct and appropriate information dissemination on the use of PPEs will help ensure the safety of all stakeholders and beneficiaries against
COVID-19 and other possible effects.
Outcome 4: Production and distribution of SUPPRESS CoViD-19 Emergency Foods. Augment limited supply on healthy and nutritious foods as affordable substitute to highly fortified with preservative commercial food products which are often subject to hoarding from store owners and panic-buying from consumers.
Outcome 5: Development, Production and Deployment of SUPPRESS CoViD-19 Systems and Innovations. Ensure fast, convenient, user-friendly and reliable systems for quick access of data of PUM/PUI, agro commodities and other basic needs especially during crisis situations where mobility is a major constraint. Other innovations are equally important to reduce contact to objects frequently used and encourage the number one prevention from contamination, the handwashing, in the easiest way possible.
Outcome 6: Establishment of Bayan-Anihan: Aksyon Kontra Gutom. Reduce dependency of agricultural commodities from outside sources and contribute to self-sufficiency and self- sustainability of important farm inputs and other products.
