Held on March 5, 2026, at Fan's Hotel, it brought together PESO managers, partner institutions, and stakeholders from the Eastern Visayas region to honor outstanding achievements in employment facilitation and workforce development.

Assistant Professor Carlo M. Cabillo, who serves as the Job Placement Officer at SLSU–Bontoc Campus, represented the university during the awards ceremony. He was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for his outstanding leadership and commitment to providing employment facilitation services.

Cabillo plays a critical role in enhancing job placement initiatives and expanding employment prospects for SLSU Bontoc graduates and alumni. According to Cabillo, the award is a reflection of the university community's collective efforts to assist students in making the move from school to the workforce.

"This recognition is for the entire SLSU-Bontoc community, not just for me," Cabillo said. "Our objective has always been to provide students and graduates with opportunities to apply their skills and develop fulfilling careers, in addition to knowledge."

The Academic Workforce Integration Award was also given to SLSU–Bontoc Campus during the ceremony. This award shows that SLSU Bontoc is committed to ensuring that academic training aligns with employer needs so that students and alumni graduates have the skills and opportunities they need to secure employment.

Cabillo stressed that it is very important to improve job services at colleges and universities in today's job market, which is changing quickly. "Universities play a big part in shaping the future workforce. We can better help our graduates enter the professional world by making our job placement programs stronger and working with partners,” he added.
