VP Medilo named Visayas Director of country’s first Council of Academic Affairs Leaders

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) continues to strengthen its leadership presence in Philippine higher education as Dr. Constantino G. Medilo Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs, was appointed Director for the Visayas of the newly established Philippine Executive Council of Academic Affairs (PECAA).

The appointment was announced during PECAA's 1st General Assembly at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. PECAA is the country's first national organization dedicated to Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs (VPAAs), providing a platform for academic leaders to collaborate on policies, innovations, and strategies that advance higher education in the Philippines.

Dr. Medilo's appointment recognizes his leadership and contributions to academic development and quality assurance. As Director for the Visayas, he will help represent and advance the interests of higher education institutions across the region while contributing to national discussions on academic excellence and educational transformation.
