SLSU Joins 66th Southern Leyte Founding Anniversary Inter-Agency Games 2026
Demonstrating its commitment to wellness and camaraderie, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) proudly joins the 66th Southern Leyte Founding Anniversary Inter-Agency Games 2026, a province-wide celebration that brings together government agencies and educational institutions through sports and fellowship.
The pre-games officially commenced on June 9, while the opening program was held on June 15, marking the formal start of a series of sporting events that will run until June 29, 2026.

Competing under Team Academe, SLSU stands alongside the Department of Education–Province of Southern Leyte, DepEd Maasin City Division, College of Maasin, and Saint Joseph College. For the coming weeks, these institutions will vie as one team throughout various tournaments, aiming to achieve success through teamwork and sportsmanship.
Representing the University are dedicated employee-athletes who will compete in Basketball (39 years old and below and 40 years old and above categories), Pickleball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Softball for Men and Women, and Volleyball.

For many participants, the Inter-Agency Games go beyond the pursuit of medals and championships. The event highlights the importance of work-life balance, physical wellness, and meaningful collaboration among institutions that share a common goal of serving the public. It also provides an opportunity to build lasting connections, celebrate teamwork, and reinforce the role of sports in promoting unity and mutual respect.
