CHED Grants CoPC to Master in Technology Education as Program Transitions to MTLEd

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has officially issued the Certificate of Program Compliance (CoPC) for the Master in Technology Education program, following the approval of CEB Resolution No. 189-2025. This certification validates the program’s adherence to the rigorous academic and operational standards mandated by the Commission.

In a simultaneous development, SLSU BOR Resolution No. 09 s 2026 has authorized a comprehensive revision of the program's curriculum and a formal change in nomenclature. Moving forward, the degree will be known as the Master of Technology and Livelihood Education (MTLEd). This strategic update ensures the program remains aligned with the evolving demands of the education sector and technical industries.

The university is currently facilitating the elevation of these changes to the CHED Central Office via the Office of Programs and Standards Development (OPSD). The successful acquisition of the CoPC, paired with the curriculum modernization, marks a definitive step in the university's mission to provide high-quality, compliant, and future-ready graduate education.
