SLSU sends off second batch of delegates for cultural exchange program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) conducted a Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar and Send-Off Ceremony for the second batch of SLSU delegates who will participate in the three-week Cultural Exchange Program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara from January 12 to 30, 2026.
The Director for External Linkages and International Affairs, Dr. Ingrid M. Uy, discussed the expectations of SLSU for the participants, emphasizing their role as ambassadors not only of the university but also of the entire country. She highlighted the importance of cultural understanding, university promotion, active academic participation, and the creation of international networks, among others.

Vice President for Student Engagement and Support Services, Dr. Marie Khul C. Langub, also expressed her pride in the students and faculty who will represent the university. She noted that such an opportunity is not granted to everyone and encouraged the participants to view this experience as a means to enhance their intercultural competence, strengthen moral discipline, and fully embrace the travel and cultural exchange experience.


True to the core values of SLSU, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Constantino G. Medilo, Jr. emphasized integrity and excellence as the guiding principles of the university’s participation in this international endeavor. He reminded both faculty and students to represent SLSU with distinction and to ensure that the knowledge and experiences gained are shared upon their return.

Present to show their support for the participants, the deans of the Faculty of Education, Technology and Innovation, Faculty of Computer Studies and Information Technology, Faculty of Technology, and Faculty of Engineering graced the ceremony.
With the university’s full support, the delegates now set forth to represent SLSU and the Philippines in a meaningful cultural and academic exchange.
