CBRC Quiz Bee Institutional Level showcases academic brilliance and friendly competition

The spirit of academic excellence and camaraderie came alive on April 23, 2025, as students gathered for the much-anticipated CBRC Quiz Bee Institutional Level, a vibrant showcase of knowledge, skill, and teamwork.

Organized in collaboration with Carl Balita Review Center (CBRC), the event drew participation from some of the most promising students in the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood programs (BTLED). Held at the FCSIT Audio Visual Room, the competition featured multiple rounds of intellectually stimulating questions solely focused on the General Education area.

There were ten (10) participants from the Elementary Education, Technology, and Livelihood Education programs, each eager to prove their mettle. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as students tackled challenging questions under pressure, cheered on by their classmates.

Ms. Rowena Sansan from the BEED department emerged as the Champion of this year's institutional-level quiz bee, demonstrating quick thinking and deep comprehension. Mr. Emmanuel Bete and Ms. Jeanel Mordeno from the BTLED department, respectively, claimed second and third place, showing commendable performance throughout the competition. As a token for their exemplary achievement, the winners received a full scholarship for the LET Review from CBRC.

CBRC representatives were present to award certificates of appreciation to the winners and to all participants who demonstrated dedication and school spirit.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Josefina O. Carpentero, the Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education (FTVE), congratulated all the participants and highlighted the event's significance in reinforcing academic readiness and promoting healthy competition among future professionals. "This quiz bee is more than just a contest; it is a celebration of knowledge and a platform that prepares our students for the licensure examination and beyond," she said.

With the successful conclusion of the institutional level, Ms. Sansan, who took first place, will now prepare for the provincial level of the CBRC Quiz Bee, where she will compete against the top winners from other institutions. The CBRC Quiz Bee continues to be a valuable initiative that nurtures intellectual growth, boosts confidence, and fosters a culture of excellence among aspiring educators.
