SLSU - MCC Faculty of Governance and Development Studies Receives Recognition from Municipality of Padre Burgos for Successful Extension Activity

The Municipality of Padre Burgos has recognized the Faculty of Governance and Development Studies for their exemplary execution of the extension activity titled "Strengthening Good Governance and Sustainable Development through the Codification of Local Ordinances." This significant event took place at Cebu Plus Hotel, Cebu City, and has been praised for its contribution to local governance and sustainable development.

Held on May 9, 2024, the activity aimed to enhance the capabilities of local government officials in codifying local ordinances. The initiative played a key role in promoting good governance practices and sustainable development strategies within the community, aligning with SDG No. 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG No. 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The program involved reviewing existing laws, eliminating duplicative or conflicting provisions, and reorganizing the content for clarity and coherence.
