Southern Leyte State U joins RSTW 2024; introduces Explore SL and ELEKTRIKA

During the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW 2024), hosted by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region Office 8 at the People Center and Library in Tacloban City from June 25-27, the Eastern Visayas Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (EVCIEERD) showcased its latest innovations. Their participation underscores their commitment to advancing science and technology in the region.

At the event, the EVCIEERD booth featured projects from several member universities, including Southern Leyte State University (SLSU). SLSU introduced Explore SL and ELEKTRIKA: Explore SL provides comprehensive insights into tourist attractions, accommodations, dining options, and upcoming events in Southern Leyte, aiming to serve as a valuable resource for travelers. The platform offers free trials, demos, and subscription plans (monthly: 99 pesos, yearly: 999 pesos) for premium content, complemented by interactive kiosks for immediate sign-ups.

Meanwhile, ELEKTRIKA focuses on real-time monitoring of electrical consumption, load protection, and energy cost tracking to enhance residential energy efficiency and management.

EVCIEERD's presence at RSTW 2024 highlights their dedication to fostering technological advancements in Eastern Visayas, as evidenced by their active participation and innovative contributions.
