Graduate School Students Attend Research and Innovation Agenda Orientation
In a bid to equip graduate school students with the necessary skills and knowledge required for research and innovation, a Research and Innovation Agenda Orientation was conducted through Google Meet last November 28, 2020. The event was organized by the Graduate School to educate and enlighten students on the institution's research and innovation agenda.
The orientation was attended by a large number of students who were eager to learn about the various research and innovation opportunities available to them. During the session, the speakers highlighted the importance of research and innovation in today's world and the impact it can have on society.
The orientation also provided an opportunity for students to interact with professionals in various fields, who shared their experiences and insights on research and innovation. Students were also informed on the different agenda of the university’s different centers such as Center for Access to Rural Education (CARE), Smallholder Horticulture and Agroforestry Research and Extension Center ( SHARE), Center for Research in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development ( CReMSMED), Geographic Information Technology System (GIS-TC), Center for Organic and Natural Food Research ( CONFoR), Affiliated Renewable Energy Center ( AREC), and Bioresource Production Technology center (BioProTec).
Speaking at the event, Dr. Prose Ivy Guasa- Yepes emphasized the importance of research and innovation in today's world and encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them. He also urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to make a positive impact in their respective fields.
Research and Innovation Agenda Orientation was a prolific event for it provides graduate school students with the necessary tools and knowledge required to succeed in the research and innovation field.
